Fit Lab Gym

Project Overview

Client: Fit Lab Gym
Sector: Fitness & Wellness
Project Type: IT Infrastructure, Web Development, Cybersecurity Management
Coverage: Multiple locations across Italy
Duration: Ongoing management since initial deployment
Objectives: Build a secure, scalable, and high-performance digital ecosystem to support Fit Lab Gym’s growth, optimize user experience, and ensure data protection and system resilience.

For Fit Lab Gym, NRC Company developed and implemented a complete digital infrastructure solution tailored to support their growth and operations across multiple locations in Italy.

We engineered and deployed secure, high-performance websites utilizing an optimized LAMP stack architecture, integrating a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to accelerate content distribution and advanced caching mechanisms with Redis to enhance backend performance and ensure high scalability.

The CMS platforms were extensively hardened at both the configuration and code levels, significantly reducing the risk of common vulnerabilities. Continuous application security was enforced through a proactive Web Application Firewall (WAF), robust server-side input validation, and a systematic patch management process.

The infrastructure project included the design and deployment of a dedicated, highly secure hosting environment. Utilizing a combination of VPS and bare-metal servers, we ensured strict isolation between staging and production environments, implemented Layer 7 HTTP/HTTPS load balancers with active failover capabilities, and established encrypted full and incremental backup procedures in compliance with AES-256 encryption standards.

To guarantee system resilience and performance monitoring, we implemented a full monitoring stack based on Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana, providing real-time tracking and proactive incident management. All internal communications between systems are secured via site-to-site IPSec VPNs, ensuring end-to-end encryption.

System management adheres to strict security standards: all Linux servers are hardened according to CIS Benchmarks, and patch management is automated through Ansible playbooks to maintain consistent security updates. Log management is centralized using the ELK Stack, allowing real-time anomaly detection and ensuring comprehensive audit trails. Access to critical systems is restricted via bastion hosts and protected by enforced Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Security was a top priority for this project. We deployed Unified Threat Management (UTM) firewalls, implemented network segmentation through VLANs and DMZs, and configured inline Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) based on Snort with custom, continuously updated rules. Public-facing services are protected behind a WAF, with HTTPS and HSTS enforced through automatically renewed wildcard SSL/TLS certificates.

Endpoints are secured with EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) technologies, and regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing ensure the infrastructure remains resilient. A Zero Trust model governs access to all sensitive systems.

From a compliance standpoint, the infrastructure fully aligns with GDPR standards: data encryption is enforced both in transit and at rest, supported by granular access control policies and regular audits. A thoroughly documented and periodically tested Disaster Recovery Plan ensures business continuity even in critical events.

Through this comprehensive project, NRC Company delivered to Fit Lab Gym a robust, scalable, and highly secure digital ecosystem, enabling reliable operations and supporting their continued growth within the fitness and wellness industry.
